With as much as photos and movies that were taken throughout our trip to Hawaii, I've decided to share my stories and media by creating this website.
On November 15, 2011 we flew from Portland, Oregon to Maui. Our son lives in Vancouver, Washington & flew us out there from Reynoldsburg, Ohio (our hometown). We visited there for a few days prior to our big vacation. I probably will add another page with the beautiful fall photos of their area.
Jason flew with us to Maui. I took photos from the airplane; some photos appear that we may be up high - yet, we traveled completely around each island & to the top of Maui. So just assume the beginning photos of each trip were the ones from the plane.
We stayed in Maui for 3 nights at 2 different resorts & then flew on a very small plane to the Big Island on November 18, 2011. We were joined by Maki the day after.
We were amazed how there were "cloud forests" over each island (which you will see in the photos). It would rain a little each day. But it was a mist & never heavy raindrops.

Pe’epe’e Falls And The Wailuku River at Hilo, Big Island
The Wailuku River drops over Pe’epe’e Falls into a series of flowing cascades called the Boiling Pots, whose waters tumble, roll, and bubble, making it appear like it’s boiling from underground lava tubes. The vertical columns that surround the Boiling Pots were formed as the lava cooled slowly in the river bed.
